Rick Davies, Supertramp Co-Founder Who Wrote and Sang ‘Bloody Well Right’ and ‘Goodbye Stranger,’ Dies at 81

We were just doing a thread about Yacht Rock on the LA board, and I guess one might consider Supertramp to be part of that genre. They were one of those bands with two lead singers, in the style of The Beatles or Squeeze or even The Beach Boys. Rick Davies had the lower voice, and Roger Hodgson had the high voice. Rick was John Lennon to Roger's Paul McCartney. The band broke up, as they often do, because of money. But they made great music. Earlier this year, someone sent me a link of Roger performing in Germany with a full symphony orchestra. It's really magnificent, and you hear how incredible their songs were. Roger is still alive, so here's the link to his concert.
