I may have been hallucinating but I think I heard Rick Dees doing a Jack promo. Something about how people used to say he only played the same 10 songs, and it was actually 9. Rumor control??

I've also heard a similar promo with Jim Ladd, so I doubt this is anything other than a smokescreen.<P ID="signature">______________

I haven't heard the promo but Rick Dee's in fact did make that statement that was part of a feature on Jack on the Paula Zahn show a couple of weeks ago. He not only made that statement but he added "Go Jack"

No jocks will be on Jack for at least a year or more. They decided to keep it the way it is for now - a huge (ipod shuffle) winner. Rick Dees blew his chance to go to Infinity when he refused to sign a 3-year deal for K-Earth. He wanted only a 12-month deal which they refused due to the investment they were going to make in his show. Rick Dees will not be returning to L.A. radio anytime in the near future. He has nothing going on for this market (now). End of story and (current) speculation...but as we know in radio, stay tuned as the marketplace can always change next year or the year after or beyond...
