Someone with zero influence on voters on a show with no audience... hmmm.

Ahhhh, the bashers are out this morning, that is fine. Here is the question...When was the last time an endorsement as important as this one happened on radio?

How about some of the talk show hosts endorsing candidates (Hannity endorsed Mitt Romney last week for example). Or don't they count?

Sure Nicholson is a bigger celeb than Hannity, but how many daily listeners does Jack have? Or Dees compared with Sean?

Apples and oranges. I think you are missing the point. Are you comparing Hannity to Jack? Nicholson came out for his candidate on Rick's show. I think this is huge for LA Radio in particular, Radio in general. I don't care about the audience...I just thought it was a cool deal.

It would have had more weight on Ryan Seacrest, unfortunately, or Piolin. The fact that it happened on a show with few listeners however may still get press attention someplace so it can't hurt. I am not bashing Rick because I still continue to believe that he got a raw deal from KIIS but he regrettably hitched his wagon to a dead horse.

What is a little confusing to me is that the Rick Dees' target audience being Jack Nicholson type fans? Seems a stretch to me.

However, Dees is getting some media out of it. You have to give it to him. Free media is great. He has some high powered friends who will sit on his show and do things like this because it's Dees, not because they need spins.

Of course, if I were Hilary, I am unsure I would want that endorsement anyways. He has a bit of an anger issue. She already needs to "look soft" as the media seems to keep mentioning. LOL. (Whatever)

Please tell me you wrote that with tongue firmly in cheek.

As someone who spent many years in high level politics I can tell you a Jack Nicholson endorsement is as only as "important" as the amount of money he gives you. It's not like Jack has any sort of political clout (he's not Oprah after all), it's only about money. If Jack agrees to host or "guest star" at a politician's fundraiser then a politician will welcome the endorsement (people will buy tickets to fundraisers for politicians they may not actually vote for if there's a chance to shake a celebrity's hand), but if all Jack does is make a personal contribution then he's just another donor (by law he can't anymore money than you or I).

So honestly, a Jack Nicholson endorsement is not all that important and a morning radio show is about the only place that would let him announce it live.

For someone who has been in politics a while, you don't seem to know that much about Super Tuesday and delegates. Jack gives a lot of money to a lot of politicians, many of whom are super delegates. They reached a large number of people yesterday, by anyones standard. Those SD's are influenced here in California...a day before Super Tuesday. Seems to be a well calculated move.

Hillary is not softening. Like trying to soften a turnip.

Sure those weren't Hillary and Jack impersonators????

Don't know about Hillary, but I'm pretty sure that was Jack. He was the first guest on Dees first day at Movin'.
Funny, Jack will do print and radio interviews but never television. Says it ruins his mystique. ???

When Arnold went on Leno to announce he was running for governor that was effective in creating widespread impressions on voters as well as lot of free publicity. When a movie star, not especially politically active, goes on a morning radio show in Los Angeles to announce his endorsement it will not make much of an impact on today's elections. The person who will benefit is Rick Dees from the buzz it is generating and he needs it as he is the captain clinging to the sinking ship which isn't Movin'.

Settling this once and for all

A old actor no one cares about.
Announcing whom he'll vote for on a Old White Guy's morning show that no cares out.
A station playing old music no one cares about.

There, case closed.

LOL..... if Hillary softens, she will be bashed by her detracters. If she doesn't soften, she will be bashed by her detracters.

Go figure.

Ha!!! Good One.

Not even sure who purdyum was talking to. But in mentioning Super Delegates, this will be an interesting election. What if they get the swing vote? Can't wait to see.

As for Super Tuesday 2008, it seems the battle has just begun when in past elections there was a lot more decided on this special day. (Yes, I'm aware there were changes this year).

But Jack... ;D on Dees.. those comments above were killer. Love the comic relief. In true Clint fashion "Make my day."
