Rick Dees To Broadcast LIVE...

The better question is, DID he try?
Lets face it, it's a lot easier to simply set up your own web site and podcast, or stream. But as far as being picked up by a broadcaster, well, he was let go from KIIS, and who knows if XM or Sirius even want him?

Y'know, he never has to work another day in his life if he doesn't want to. Heck, if I had Rick's money, I'd be spending all day driving my '66 Cobra on poorly-patrolled twisties in the Central Coast, or laying on a beach in Monaco while scantily clad babes keep the drinks coming.

But that's just me ;)

Dees ... on the beach or not to beach ... that is the question

Yeah, but even that gets old, believe it or not.

I've done it ... minus the money :)

Besides, you can hear it in his voice -- like Charlie Tuna, the guy loves radio.

I hear you, brother.

Why would he?..considering how small the audience is on satellite radio compared to broadcast stations. And I'm sure he would much rather do his
own thing if possible.

No offense, but you must realize the lack of logic for what you just suggested:

Is it really better for Rick Dees to be off the air or doing some ineternet broadcast as opposed to being on Satellite radio? That does not make sense.

The audience on XM or Sirius may be smaller than terrestrial radio, but it's a whole lot better than not being on the air. Almost anyone with the resources can put up their own radio stream, but being on the air is a whole different issue. One can not imagine that the audience would be very big on the internet compared to the other two chioces.

That's my point; It's being on the air versus not being on the air. He has a stream up, but he's NOT on the air...

Point well taken
