I'm happy for Rick. I'm glad that he landed on his feet so quickly. Having a solid jock like Rick Kelly should help Star in their battle against Jack.
I'm curious vegasradio, you say that KJUL is going AC next month. Have you heard that it's a done deal or is it speculation on your part?
I am also hearing Sunny on everywhere. Ever since they became the only AC I hear them on in more businesses than any other radio station. I agree with your prediction that if KJUL doesn't go AC, KSNE will have a 10 share for the fall book, at least in the female 25-54 demo. Sunny always has huge Fall books due to Christmas music. Without Lite 100.5 in the way, this year should be bigger than ever.
One thing to keep in mind about the Fall book. It's when Arbitron updates it's population figures to reflect the most current estimates. This Fall is when Las Vegas officially moves from #38 to the #32 market. Included in this update is the most recent ethnic population figures. After the updated ethnic weighting it wouldn't surprise me if stations like La Preciosa and La Nueva gain at the expense of general market stations.
