Rick Martini out?

V

Vinny!

My PD said he was contacted by Gary Berkowitz last Friday about the PD gig at the New Fresh 102.7

Apparently they're looking to replace Ricky Martini.

That's hard to believe. Martini is an AC guy so one would expect CBS to keep him on for a format like Fresh, at least, for more than a week.

Gary Berkowitz is a well respected journeyman PD. Like many long time programmers he has had his wins and losses. I thought his work back at the old PRO-FM in Providence was wonderful. While I doubt that Martini is really being replaced, I think it would be fun to have Gary in the market.

You might find that NYC is a bit too much for the conservative Berkowitz style.
