4. Darlas Rai - the WKDF web site has her as 7-mid. I would assume that this is temporary until they get a PD, but I can't imagine any PD with half a brain taking her out of nights. given a chance I think that she could pull the night numbers that no one else appears to want.

I said "country", not "redneck" or "hayseed". I'd say Foxx tried it "hayseed" and Mayfield tried it "redneck" -- and neither had staying power in recent history.
One of the most important things about a building a successful morning show, IMHO, is to be able to develop a following, a "community of the airwaves," if you will. A host or hosts have to make listeners feel welcome or like they are part of a group tuning in. Listeners enjoy going to work or school and talking about what they heard on the radio with others that heard it as well. In 2008, that's how the "identifying with" part of it still works.
