There are a lot of rumors thrown out on this site, and must be taken with a grain of salt most of the time. That having been said, Sanchez would seem like a natural fit in the L.A. market. Plenty of show-biz, sizzle, and "bigger than life" attitude. He would fit in quite well in LaLa land.

He would also be a perfect fit for MSNBC too during the 5:00 PM ET hour (Whch is now the LIVE run of Hardball With Chris Matthews. You know, the airing that's, strangely enough, NOT promoted)

I would lose all respect for KCBS-TV/KCAL if they hired Rick Sanchez. The guy is a clown. Remember when the anchors at WMAQ in Chicago quit in protest when the station hired Jerry Springer to do commentary? Springer - aside from hosting one of the most ridiculous programs in TV history is actually an intelligent and articulate guy, unlike Sanchez. So I would hope the other anchors at KCBS would protest, as well.

Remember when the anchors at WMAQ in Chicago quit in protest when the station hired Jerry Springer to do commentary? Springer - aside from hosting one of the most ridiculous programs in TV history is actually an intelligent and articulate guy, unlike Sanchez. So I would hope the other anchors at KCBS would protest, as well.

Jerry Dunphy of KCAL9 is rolling in his grave. Look at KNTV's Jessica Aguirre she at one time co-anchored the news at WSVN with Rick Sanchez before Sanchez went to MSNBC and Aguirre went to KGO-TV. Rick Sanchez is the Cuban Ron Burgandy of Florida and Cable news. Look I thought Paul Moyer was crazy when he did have a tirade with Ann Martin. I also thought KNBC's Alicia lane and WPIX's Mendte was crazy during thier time at KYW. But the tirade between Jon Stewart and Rick Sanchez topples them all. BTW Jessica Aguirre went to San Francisco to replace the Asian Ron Burgandy Terylin Joe at KGO-tv

Look at A&E's Bill Kurtis he returned to WBBM mainly because he was respected at WBBM until he went to A&E in the 1990's. Look at Wendy Tokuda she is a great TV anchor in San Francisco but she never fit in the LA TV news back in 1994.

Ron Magers and Paul Magers are in fact brothers. just like the Hambrick Brothers who worked at KRON and KTVU before they anchored in other parts of the country and the Sinkovitz twins Tom fron KRON and KNTV and his brother who worked at Philly. I think WSVN, WABC's and WFOR's Robb Hanrahan at one time had a run in with Rick Sanchez and KABC's, WFOR and CBS's Maggie Rodriguiez along with WSVN, KGO and KNTV's Jessica Aguirre all had some run in's and tirades with Rick Sanchez when they all worked in South Florida. Wow Rick Sanchez in would overtake Paul Moyer in the Ron Burgundy persona department.
Rick Sanchez tirades would be 1000 times bigger than Paul Moyers. By the way if you are in LA watch KTLA and KABC news don't watch Rick Sanchez on KCAL and KCBS or possible KNX radio if he makes an appearance there. KABC and KTLA do the news better in LA.

Sorry I meant CNN but in 1999 to 2000 I saw Rick Sanchez on MSNBC.

I remember that Rick Sanchez was refered as "Dirty Sanchez" by Jon Stewart because of the way he poses when he was tazed or pepper sprayed by the Florida Police it seemed that Sanchez was using the Police as personal a Dominatrix.
