another older white guy who talks up 12 records an hour, then helps try to figure out howcome they don't have better ratings? or not.

i grew up listening to that station, somewhere i still have tapes of all the songs i'd recorded off of Magic back in the late 80s and early 90s when i too little/poor to buy tapes. in spite of my nostalgic affection for it they need to either expand their playlist to include either album cuts, or, get this, other songs from the artists, or switch formats completely because I can't sit through Good Lovin', Dreams, Unchained Melody or one of the two Beatles songs they play day in and day out. seriously, it's so painful I don't even have them programmed into my radio anymore.

Have you listened to them lately? Magic completely overhauled their playlist about a year ago. To my ear, it's pretty much focused 1966/67 to about 75. Plenty of album cuts - that were hits, of course. They do not use the term "oldies" anymore.
