man, the new KFRC has only been on for an hour and a half and already it is getting totally slammed on this board!!!! Wouldn't it be funny if it was a totally different format come tuesday morning???? To Infinity and beyond!!!!!

Dang, Deej. You made me check my calendar to make sure it wasn't April.
Noted the following from Hour 1:
* They must have sent Sue Hall home at noon.
* They found their old "KFRC Custom" copy of "Fire" by the Pointer Sisters ("I'm riding in your car/You turn on KFRC..."). Not necessarily a good thing.
* New jingles. New image voice. (Also not necessarily a good thing.)
* They want me to sing along for some reason. That tells me they've not heard me sing before. Definitely not a good thing.
* Based on today's debut, this is not going to be a nostalgic, Seventies-sounding station. It's going to be a "you can listen at work because we ain't going to do nothing to offend nobody" station. Unless DeeJayMan is correct.

People...remember
Not all the bay area listeners are bitter, looking under the microscope ex and current radio folk like those who are active here. When my mom's younger friends weigh in, thats when I will have my opinion. But alas.....the new logo is pretty bad....looks like one of the Alice Now and Zen logos. Maybe that sun logo is what turns infinity around in the Bay.

This station is horrible, the liners, the promo's, even the music. i miss kfrc already, i never knew a liner can have character, but this (BLEEP) is horrible, someone please FIND the person in charge @ 99.7 AND KNOC SOME SENSE INTO HIM - IM VERY DISSAPOINTED!!!!!!

Unfortunately, the real acid test is ratings and revenue...and KOIT is never out of the top 3 and usually #1 25-54, and really are the Mormon Money Machine.
