I am a die-hard liberal Democrat. Call me a tree-hugger and I'm proud. Is there a frequency in this pathetic radio market (because it really IS pathetic...when is Jack coming?) that would take on Air America and do you all think it would work??

I am an avid Philips Phile listener. Jim Philips is the only person in this market that speaks to the values I hold dear. OK, I could do without the stupid games and crap but, when Jim gets on a rant about something, I am completely, totally GLUED to the radio.

Any other tree-huggers out there? Anyone else want to crash their car into a tree when they happen upon Michael Savage??

Yeah,Jim Is A One Of A Kind,I've Been Listening To Him Since His Days
At WKIS(now wqtm)Days And I Never Get Bored. But Michael Savage
Whips Out Common Sense That Appeals To BOTH Democrats And Republcans.
The One I Truly CANNOT STAND Is Rusty Humphreys! That Homophobic
bigot Has His Head Shoved So Far Up Bushs' Butt That He Can
Probably Tell You What He Ate For Lunch Last Week!!!!
But To Each His Own,I Guess.
WANDER AIMLESSLY,GRIN LIKE A DOG....AND POUND YOUR CONCH AS MUCH AS
YOU CAN........To Quote Mr. Phillips.

Little chance of AAR here...

Brokered radio and Spanish means no room for AAR on the AM band.

I'm pounding, thank you very much. I am torn in PM drive...I'm a sports fan who likes Coach n Company (OK, to a point) but I cannot tear my dial from Jim Philips.

I've actually met Rusty. He's fabulous. But way too much "God" influence. I'm not sayin' that Liberals don't respect Religion, but I've found they don't let that get between the whole "separation of God and State" thing. Take Jeb for instance...our schools totally and completely SUCK. Yet he's wasting his time and authority on Michael Schivao??? Puh-leez. Hello, Jeb...deal with what the majority needs...not the WAY-right.

Well, I'm certainly no tree hugger but the part about Michael Savage was hella funny. I don't know how that guy got a syndicated show. All he does is read the Drudge Report's top articles on the air and act like he did some show prep. The guy yells at people and OMFG the accent. Having said all that, I turn him on when I have insomnia and in about 20 minutes I'm yawning and off to a deep sleep.

Re: Philips Phile

I'm a big Jim Philips fan too. I can't stand the stupid games either but love it when Philips gets going and I'm glued to the radio too. Other than that radio is pretty dull. I miss most the human voice and many stations offer listeners nothing more than the same 300 songs and liner liner jocks.

michael savage is a parody of himself... along the lines of former orlando mid-day talk host ed tyll. while they both have totally different viewpoints, they both are notorious for polarizing an issue (necessary for a good talk host) and attacking their listeners... not their listeners' ideas (not characteristic of a good host). that being said, he is experiencing some semblance of success, likely because listening to savage, like tyll, is akin to rubber necking at a car accident
