Anybody remember back when I used to get excited about things like this? Remember when I'd hear "closer" by Ne-yo and you'd think I won the olympics and the lottery on the same day? Remember back when we thought "poker face" was a big deal?
Now, those days of blind hope and desperate wishful thinking are over. It has now all become so normal to me that I actually sat back calmly waiting to see IF SOMEONE ELSE would bring it up! It seems as if this whole thing has become the norm, to the point where it's nothing too exciting anymore.
Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Was it better to be in the times where we are still desperately starving for more and blindly having something to look forward to, or is it better to be in the time where it's like everything is just going on and it's not much of a big deal anymore because now that's just the way it is?
It's sort of like when vacation time is approaching; There's the time when you look forward to what's to come (the thinking, planning, shopping then packing). Then there is the actual vacation (where you travel then experience being IN the vacation time period) which, depending how you look at it, can bring debatable answers when it comes to asking "is being on the actual vacation better than the planning and looking forward?" The reason for that is because we know that once the experience is over,
IT'S OVER.
SO, I ask; are we in our best times and experiences now, or were the days of blindly having something to look forward to and imagine better? With songs like
LMFAO - PARTY ROCK ANTHEM
DAVID GUETTA & USHER - WITHOUT YOU
CALVIN HARRIS & RIHANNA - WE FOUND LOVE
DEV *new artist!* - IN THE DARK
CHRIS BROWN - BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE
MARTIN SOLVEIG - HELLO
going nationwide (or set to go nationwide), it's official that the dance sound is IN, and
"IT'S OVER, EVERYBODY LISTENS TO TECHNO!"

They still occasionally revisit Richard Vission and Duck Sauce. It seems that KZON will test songs during their mix shows.
