The big print in an auto ad in last Monday's paper caught Dale Shaw's eye. The little print got under his skin. The ad featured two cars for lease, plus the car that interested Shaw: a used, low-mileage 2006 Volkswagen Passat for $17,990. ...
Shaw tried to goad me, too: "I always enjoy your column when you skewer some sleazeball who plays fast and loose with consumers. But when your own newspaper is the venue for some of those 'fast & loosers,' what then?" ...
