RIP Bob Reuter, 1951-2013

Still saddened by his untimely death. He stepped into an empty elevator shaft and fell to his death a couple years ago.

He was a talented songwriter/musician, record collector, and on-air personality at KDHX 88.1 FM St. Louis, where he curated Bob's Scratchy Records. Eclectic was an understatement for Bob, and he was well-loved by his friends and musical peers.

I shared bills with him in the late 70's as a member of Max Load, the first punk band from Belleville, 20 minutes east of St. Louis across the Mississippi River in Illinois.

His band at that time was The Dinosaurs, and they were called that as a reflection of their ages, which were a bit older than the crowd they courted.

RIP.
