I was very sad to hear that Bob Todd, the longtime morning host at Alt 92.5, KSRW in Bishop passed away last month. He had been suffering health issues most of the last year and had a taken a leave of absence. I was very concerned watching their newscasts on YT recently before he took leave, seeing how much weight Bob had lost and feared the worst. Before they flipped to Alternative a few years ago, the main hook, other than what I've thought musically was the best Smooth AC I've ever heard and a interesting full-service approach with the news blocks, was Bob Todd's morning show. Listening to him, I was impressed in how he ran the show, the classic hits he played and the chemistry he had with Catherine Hurdle for the 10:20 trivia segment. I believed he had the talent to be a success in a much larger market, but chose family first (and less stress)and stayed in tiny Bishop, which only raised my respect of him. (The same can be said for the late Benett Kessler, who owned/programmed the station and was news director until her passing in 2015, and John Wedburg, who did their TOH IDs and hosted their Jazz Show for many years and passed last year after retiring from KSRW a few years back) My thoughts and prayers go out at his family and co workers at Sierra Wave Media.
