RIP Chris Benoit

The news as it hit at 8:00pm tonight floored me....Chris Benoit, his Wife-Nancy (aka Woman) and son were found dead today in their Atlanta home.....

I had the pleasure of meeting Chris a couple of times with promotions that the station ran when WCW Nitro was on the air...always was amazed on how he went out of his way to make sure no one left the meet & greet w/o all the autographs and/or photographs they wanted.

I look back on all of the people I have met or interviewed over the years and the wrestlers always stand out....I don't know why. I also go back and think of them and sadly, sooo many of them have passed....Elizabeth, Junkyard Dog, Eddie Guerrero, Hawk...now The Wolverine.....I don't have anything more to say....sad day :(

We don't know how yet. No guns however.
He was 40. I interviewed him in 98. Very polite man.
A good thoughtful post
and a very sad day. Walter.

While this a tragic loss, I want to say that I will always have the memories

of this truly courageous and thoughtful wrestler who gave it his all

every night. And I saw a lot of great memories last night.

I followed his career since 1995, and it was one of the very best.

While the matter of how he died does seem clouded at the moment,

it will not wipe away the memories of a great career that was culminated at

Wrestlemania XX when he won the World Heavyweight Title from two of the

best: Triple H & Shawn Michaels. My heart goes out to the Benoit Family

and they will be in my thought during this excruitating time. So long Chris!

I'm still stunned this morning after learning of his death and according to reports he killed his wife and child and and turned the gun on himself. I don't understand as to why he did this? RIP Chris Benoit and his family.

After the news is coming out more and more, I am still amazed the person who I met was able to do what the authorities are saying he did....sadder even more. I don't know what else to say; but I guess you can never really know someone (as evidenced by the tributes all of his co workers gave last night on Raw...all mentioning being a big family man).....sigh...sad
