Larry James. legendary overnight personality at WBT, passed away Sunday night after a courageous battle with cancer. Larry was a founding board member of the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame, a member of it's Council of Advisors, and a 2009 Career Achievement Inductee.
During his stint at WBT, he was recognized as Billboard's Medium-Market Country Personality of the Year. James' career with the station was cut short by vocal cord problems, and he had retired to Alabama several years ago.
Arrangements are incomplete at this time. Monroe Slump will definitely NOT be a pallbearer.
