RIP Jon "Rock and Roll" Anthony

Jon passed away this week. He did 7-mid at WMPS during the mid 70's. He had been living in Tampa FL working as a voice talent.
 
Jon was my favorite Memphis DJ in the mid-70's. I loved his energy and creative enthusiasm. I still have cassette tapes from when I used to call his "rock and roll heaven" request segment. Great guy. He was super-nice to me when I was first getting interested in radio. Thanks for the great memories Jon.
