RIP KABL

Actually, they pulled the plug on their internet radio station on
January 1st. Very sad! :'( It was a great station for the Adult Standrds!
Why did CC do this?

hmmm -- maybe because it took you guys 6 weeks to notice??? that in itself is usually a bad sign

From what I understand, it had a sizable audience. Clear Channel didn't want to spend the money. With streaming, the more listeners, the more the cost of streaming.

I noticed that kablradio.com was gone at the beginning of the year, shortly after Clark Reid (what a great guy) was let go.

I really think the new KTRB at AM 860 will become Adult Standards. Just makes sense. No local station playing it and now this involving the KABL website shutting down. I still predict Adult Standards for 860.

960 might get it again too since air america is going to be gone

Or 960 might get another format? In Sacramento, another former Adult Standards to Air America station, KCTC-1320 is opting for All Sports.I'm not saying 960 is going All Sports, but I think they would have maintained the KABL website if they were bringing back KABL to 960.
