...of particular interest may be the fact that, when Dorothy Kilgallen died, her seat on the following Sunday night's "What's My Line?" was filled by Kitty Carlisle. The male guest panelist was Steve Allen, who had also been called upon to fill the seat left open when regular panelist Fred Allen died in 1956 (interestingly, the two Allens had both appeared on WML? two weeks earlier). There were also nights when Faye Emerson or Jayne Meadows, then regular panelists on "I've Got a Secret," would be absent and Carlisle would fill in for them, too...
...also notable is that, AFAIK, Kitty was the last surviving cast member of the classic Marx Brothers comedies of the '30s; she'd appeared in A Night at the Opera, and in fine singing voice, too...
