Sports talk pioneer Lee Pete has died from complications of ALS. Lee hosted the first sports talk show in Las Vegas. It was originally sponsored by the old Castaways casino and then moved to the Stardust sports book and became famous as the "Stardust Line". At first it was on Saturday nights and then for much of the 1980s was on 7 nights a week on 720 KDWN. Around a decade ago he did an afternoon show on 1340. I have many fond memories of listening to him, he was not only a sports talk pioneer but an all around great radio host. RIP Lee Pete.
