RIP Skywalk Traffic

I was listening to WALK this morning on the way in to work, and after many years of using the "Skywalk Traffic" moniker (and following the recent arrest of traffic reporter Jim Buckley), they have changed the imaging of their traffic reports. I believe they are using Shadow's traffic service, and have renamed the traffic reports to, if I remember correctly, "Total Traffic".

Total traffic is Clear Channel's own traffic service.

Hats off to those who were a part of Skywalk Traffic over the years...
Jim Buckley
Bobby Knight
Gordon Shear
Chuck Hesselberg

I listened again this morning. The moniker was definitely "Total Traffic." The reporter was Brett Levine, who I believe works (or worked) for Shadow.

We have Total Traffic here in Atlanta, which is owned by CC. Are they not going with airborne anymore? I would have thought they would have continued that. Then again, I know they cut airborne here. Might be a CC edict for all of their traffic markets.

What about me??? My name is easier to remember and I must have filled in doing the little Cessna 150 thing about 50 times...but I guess that's when most people reading this were still in diapers. Who the heck is Gordon Shear?? Did he vomit while simultaneously doing a report on WALK?? Noooooooooooo!!! Did he fly 50 feet about LI sound with some nutty pilot who asked me if "I wanted to have fun"? Maybe....Anyway, I just felt hurt being ignored (I know, like it really means anything). Just setting the record straight. BTW, If you wanna give proper recognition Bobby was actually Rob Langer.

Sorry, Jeff! I forgot you were one of the best fill-ins for me (guess who?)

What!? You didn't like the low flying over the South Shore in the summer?

My thanks to you and your former partner for all that you two gave us.
Reports of the Sunrise fires, Christmas Eve flights looking for Santa and of course the everyday stuff...
