RIP Sonny Eliot

Longtime Detroit weatherman Sonny Eliot, A decorated WWII Veteran and POW who most recently worked at WWJ-AM (950) died early today. He was 91. A mainstay in Detroit broadcasting for six decades. The Detroit area and Mr. Eliot's family have suffered the loss of a fine man.

Oh WOW R.I.P. Mr. Sonny Eliot Detroit's legendary weatherman! There a very very special place for him in heaven! What a great gentlemen we lost :'( :'( :'(

I thought I heard someone paying tribute to Sonny Eliot. A true testament to how well he did his job was even as recently as a few years ago when he was still on WWJ, he still did his weather reports as he did back in the day, and I thought it was cool considering how Radio has changed in certain ways lately. R.I.P.
