That's a shock. Never worked with Stu, but had some great phone conversations with him.
 
I had heard for a while that he was ailing. Got to work with him in '76 and '77 at the Q. Stew would have (and for all I know did) made an intense street preacher. One of the last posts I see on his facebook page, from July 4th, 2010, stated... "America needs an Awakening to God. No matter who we elect to Congress or the White House, or the State House's, no matter who is appointed, the best, brightest, most righteous persons can not save America. ONLY an Awakening to God will save America."
 
As far as I know, Stew left the Memphis market before there was a Clear Channel presence here, maybe even before there was a Clear Channel altogether.
