Well, I guess this is it for WBOP...98 rock blew 'em out of the water...I seem to think oldies is not next...I just don't know what would be...Personally, WBOP would do the H'burg market good if it went alt-leaning...but, I'm sure there's little money there

WBOP is now Magic 106.3 the greatest hits of all time - another 60-70-80's AC/Oldies outlet - live and local so far - but tons of glitches...think they flipped at 6am

WBOP was oldies then briefly ac as Mix 106 in 91-92 before flipping to ROCK in Feb 1992. Was the only rock signal until WACL flipped in '01.

Anyone know what happened to the last staff - jack, bob, and the woman - unsure of her name -

I wonder if Grease regrets not changing the music/format of his show now with WBOP gone.

He was on the radio in Hagerstown on WKMZ for many years. I saw on the Winchester radio site where WKMZ a few weeks before they went 60's and 70's told the Greaseman that his show would continue there ( he just had put on a sold-out show in Hagerstown ) after the format flipped if he would play more 60's and 70's hits and tone down the sex/gay jokes. Greaseman refused and his show was dropped in Hagerstown.

Guess he thought that as long as he had Harrisonburg's WBOP doing his show live in the mornings, he would be ok. Wrong !!
 
Well here we go once again with a Majic 60's and 70's oldie crap . It didn't last over at Verstandig Broadcasting with 96.1 or 105.1 and it won't last on WBOP either . So long 106.3 WBOP as we knew it . What a GREAT run you had ...we'll miss you !!!!
