Great Country is officially no more. While WGTY has of course been purchased by Forever Media and become a Froggy station, it's now falling victim to some of the biggest corporate consolidation in the area.
When Forever bought the once proud station, they shouted that it would stay local and they would keep the staff.
Not anymore.
The station is dropping personalities left and right and the ones that are still there have been forced to change their names to frog puns.
Now, comes the big news this week. They are moving the studios and offices out of Gettysburg and into Hanover with newly acquired sister stations WHVR and WYCR.
In the process, laying off 4 people from WGTY this week. Including the business manager, production manager, only receptionist, and the Promotions director.
Forever seems to purposely be putting WGTY into the ground.
