DRU THE POWER HOUSE DAWON PASSED AWAY . AND ALL OF ROCK LOST A DEAR ICON, HE WILL BE VERY MISSED, WAS AT CLASSIC ROCK 102,1 IN MIDLAND ODESSA CLASSIC ROCK. RIP MAN.
 
I worked with Dru at KIXS in Killeen back in the early 80's (he went by Bobby Dru back then). He was one of the most positive and funny guys I ever got to work with in the business. He had a lot of physical challenges, but never let that get him down.

The last time I saw him would have been around 1991...I went to KBAT to interview for a gig. I didn't take it (I decided to leave radio and go back to school). The biggest regret I had about it was not working with Dru again.

I was really saddened to read this. Dru lived and breathed radio.

What a loss. I worked at KOYL the sister station to KUFO. He was a great guys and helped me out if I ever had trouble on the AM with something. He will be missed. Dru, Rest in peace.
