Once upon a time ... not so long ago ...

YOU goofs ripped me for ripping you ...

Fair enough. But, I've tried to make peace.

I said I would have a beer with ed or anyone. I'll pay for cryin' out loud.

But now, YOU (generic you) rip HER.

What the hell?

I've had several conversations with her. She's a nice woman as far as I can tell.

Hey, criticize her on-air performance -- no problem.

But her "Greek nose", "Morticia", etc.

I never criticized YOUR looks.

None of you are Brad Pitt -- believe it or not.

Did all of you join the Scott Sams' fan club all of a sudden?

Why the personal attacks?

You bend over backwards to smootch Jody's rear end.

But I understand WHY you do it.

You think he can help you out. Maybe he will. Maybe he won't.

Frankly, I don't understand the guy ... at all. The "D" magazine stuff, but to each his own as the song goes.

But brown nose hard enough ... long enough ... and you lose all respect from him and self respect for yourselves.

Yet attacking this woman is OK?

Christ almighty batman, if that isnt the pot calling the kettle black. Ya know dude, you seem to turn on a dime yourself sometimes. I've stayed consistant on my views concerning alexa and my personal opinion WFAA could do better,not saying SS was any better. My question is: Do you have some personal stake in her career(Agent,Boyfriend,Husband,ect..)to evoke this kind of response or what dude?

Also, the reason I myself have respect for Jody is because he has the GUTS to come on here and retort to a comment or differening opinion. I dont see your "girlfriend" coming on here and answering her critics or taking their retorts in stride to improve her on-camera performance.

Doesn't Slambang refer to the kids show on Channel 11...

from my childhood days of old? They used to show the Three Stooges - there were either 2 or 3 guys in masks and another guy in a funny hat. Jody would remember their names!

Yes to all answers kids.I,unfortunately, was born a few years too late (1976) to partake in the greatness that was Icky Twerps "Slambang Theater"(did catch the 1986 incarnation on ch. 33). I thought the name sounded great and decided that id use it as a monkier on here :)

While we are on the subject of Slam Bang Theatre, How long did it run on Channel 11? I have childhood memories of Slam Bang Theatre in the mid 70's to the early 1980's. It was truly one of the greatest locally produced shows ever. It was great watching that show while trying to get ready for school.

I remember as a kid going to the grand opening of the slide at Park Plaza Shopping Center in Arlington. Icky Twerp was there and I got to shake his hand! I loved his show!

I agree. It seems some think they could do a better job (talent and looks). If you guys can, beat her out of the job and get 'r done.
