RISE 103.7 HD 2

I have a found a fresh new exciting station to listen to in the Dallas-Ft.Worth area.....

It's 103.7-2 Rise-FM.....

NOW.... I'm Glad I have HD radio in the car and at home !

The integrity of this staion just comes flying over the airwaves ! !

I wonder how long something this good can last ? ? ? ?

In the Dallas area ? ? ? ?

I'm Happy ! !
 
Why do I sense intense sarcasm here !

You don't get excited by much on DFW radio !

I can't picture that ANYTHING K-ville might do would be something you'd listen to!

What on earth are they playing on "Rise" ?

All Herb Alpert, All The Time ?

Clips of Dick Risenhoover announcing Texas Rangers games ?

Are you REALLY happy ?
 
I have the same question... What is on that station? Sorry but I don't believe in HD enough to run out and buy a radio.

Not ANY sarcasm here....

103.7-2 is now the only Music station, besides 101.1 that I want to listen to anytime of the day or night.....

It's so rare to find music that does not offen me on 97.1 and 93.3. 102.2 is abominable... And just don't get 92.5 or 100.3.

But................. 103.7 HD 2 is Great !

and, BTY... I have heard no Herb Alpert on there.

Unfortunately, 103.7-2 is not displaying the song titles on their HD display, so I cannot tell you who is being played.

You'll just have to find and HD radio somewhere and listen !

How refreshing and wonderful ! ! !

I really, really, Hope it will last.

I can't compare it to New Wave.... but I'm thinking of the freshness and the excitement of New Wave in it's heyday....

rise fm is similar to waht we play here at Power FM in dallas. It is Christian Rock....

you can listen to 897 Power FM for something hand picked and local.

Well, it's nice to see positive comments for a CBS station. They are so few and far between around these parts. ;)

Actually, it turns out that 103.7-2 is displaying the song title and artist.....

But with this caveat.... it displays for about 25 seconds, then goes to a staion ID moniker...then near the end of the song, it displays the song titile and artist again.

You just have to know when to look at the display, for now....

Another CBS station in the DFW area, Movin' 107.5, displays the song title and the artist for the entire song....

THAT'S the HD display I've come to expect !

103.7-2 could be streaming soon.....

Yep, we've hit that elusive milestone of "one." The sky's the limit from here forward.

Engineering tells me that it rotates between artist/title and a generic phrase every 30 seconds. The stream data is inserted by Ando Media without the generic phrase.

RISE is NOT similar to KLTY, as far as I'm concerned.

89.7 -- Does play similar songs....

But, here's the DIFFERENCE for me.

The KVIL HD-2 signal sounds way good! I think the engineers have tweaked this staion for Enjoyment, and NOT ear fatigue, like so many Big Stations go for....

As for 89.7 -- the sound there just does not compare to the dynamics of 103.7-2.

I'm not impressed with the HD signal of 93.3, but 103.7-2 RAWKS ! ! !

Just My Opinion.. :)

I don't know the bit rate, but the broadband transmission sounds great !
 
You can also access most of the CBS HD-2's from the AOL Radio browser. I remember seeing options for The Oasis, The Strip, Rise and Oldies Radio.
 
Rise does sound good. They seem to jump on the new titles quicker than 89.7. I believe their playlist is the same as the Christian Rock format on AOL Radio, which I stream on my iTouch from time to time.
