Riter/WECK and Pegula/Sabres

Does anyone else observing the recent happenings involving WECK Program Director Brad Riter and his infamous "manifesto" see some similarities to what's going on at 1230 AM with Riter in charge and what's happening with the Buffalo Sabres now that Terry Pegula is the owner of the team?

Consider this:

- Riter takes over as PD of the station and keeps the main hosts of the 1230 AM lineup (Tom and Lorraine, Bill O, Brad himself and Nick Mendola) in their same slots with the exception being Tom Schuh removed as on-air talent with his dismissal as the WECK PD.

- Pegula takes over as owner of the Sabres and keeps the main decision makers in place (Darcy Regier, Lindy Ruff, all of the other scouts and assistant coaches) with the exception of Larry Quinn

The point is this: Riter promised changes to how the station is run but has done very little to make any significant changes other than replacing Schuh's half-hour newscast with Corey Griswold's strange diatribe/lecture on the hot topics of the day.

Brad appears to be all talk right now. I am going to give him a chance to make a difference but he appears to be content with the current staff and on-air lineup, which I think most who read these boards will admit needs help and must improve if WECK's ratings
are going to get out of the gutter.

Perhaps Brad IS a genius. He's managed to establish a radio first. In this case - as rarely happens in radio - talk is CHEAP.
