River returns to Louisville

I guess I won't have 107.3 The Point on my presets anymore. Nothing against Christian AC, but don't they already have 105.9, 88.1, and 94.7?

Well that's a let down, when you said "The River," I was imagining the variation of "The River" that was at 94.7 roughly 20 years ago when Cox owned it.

That's what I thought too."Rock And Roll Classics"was their slogan and they ended up moving to 105.9.Later on they changed to an all 80's format.Salem kept "The River" name after buying the station and switching to Christian A/C. I never understood why they sold 105.9 to WAY-FM.
107.3 is a "move in" translator from Nashville and will rebroadcast WFIA 900.I guess that the Christian Talk format will remain only on WFIA 94.7
Another thing is that once the station is on the air WRZI 107.3 "The Point" from Hodgensville will no longer be able to be heard in Louisville.I like their Classic Rock format.
Here is the info for 107.3 from FCCdata.org

I have no idea how Salem keeps the lights on. Mike Gallagher isn't bad, but Dennis Prager is about as exciting as listening to paint dry. Michael Medved is worse. Too painful to listen to.

Medved, Prager, and Hugh Hewitt are my 3 favorite shows on talk radio. Gallagher and Larry Elder are the two worst shows on GTK, in my opinion.

Salem gets the bulk of its money for conservative talk by selling the shows nationally. The teaching and preaching stations, like WFIA, make the preachers buy their airtime in advance.

Dennis Prager is a smart man, but absolutely puts me to sleep as a talk show host. Medved's effeminate voice is just unlistenable. I can't stand it. The "God Said, Man Said dot com" spots are extremely annoying and add to the tune out factor. I do miss Hugh Hewitt as a nighttime host. I have not had any opportunity to listen since he switched to morning drive. He seems like a better fit for PM drive, honestly.
