Why is Geraldo off WABC so much? Is he tired of radio ?
this week--- Rita Cosby is fillling in. She's not good.
Simone does not relate well with callers. They seem to get in
the way of Simone talking about himself. of course most talk
hosts are doing the angry white guy act of Bob Grant.
that format is dying along with AM radio.
 
Geraldo is busy competing on "The Apprentice."

The one bright spot about CC's takeover of WOR is that Rita Cosby's show was axed. Now she's all over the place on WABC. Simone may have a big ego but he's a good broadcaster with a pleasant voice. Cosby is just as self absorbed but ... enough said.

I enjoy Simone's show. It's a nice mix of current events, politics and lifestyle. Only time he loses me is when he has guests who deal with financial issues. Those stop sets are long. At 10:30 he promotes the guest coming up after the break. The break, which includes a quick newscast is usually 11 minutes long. When you listen to his podcasts, the actual time of his show is about 32 minutes out of each hour. I go back and forth between WABC and WOR from 10 to Noon, depending who's running commercials. At least both shows are local. From 3 to 5PM you get the syndicated Hannity and Savage.

John Gambling is now on from 11 to 1 on WNYM. At least it's another local choice, but like everything else on 970, it won't matter.
