Rob Piercy -- GONE?

Marc Martinez is anchoring with Linda Williams tonight on FOX 10. They didn't say that Rob was off. His bio is gone from the website. Where did he go? Was it by choice or was he forced out?

He and Kim Holcolm (ch. 12) are moving back to Seattle.

I believe Rob is going to KIRO...but don't quote me on that.

Well, I guess I'll see them when I visit Seattle (I'm originally from there). I liked Rob, but the pairing with Linda Williams made him look like a teenager.

Do you know if he is going to anchor in Seattle? I don't think that KIRO had any anchor slots available. However, KIRO has a rather non-descript weekend team that should be replaced. I vote for Rob paired with Monique Ming Laven (who recently moved to KIRO from WCMH in Columbus) on KIRO weekends.

Rob was reporting today (9 October) from the fake-armored-car-driver story. So I guess he is still with Fox 10.

He's on the air live right now as I write this, so if he is leaving, he hasn't yet.

Rob spent his last days at 10 last week. He still had a few stories that had yet to air...

My little birdie tells me that his going away shindig was last week...and that his desk has already been swooped up.

I still dont' know who he's working for in Seattle... my guys at KIRO are staying mum.

Well, I will be in Seattle at the end of next week. I will take a look and see if I see him on any of KIRO's newscasts. Honestly, he would be much better than KIRO's current weekend male anchor. The morning and evening anchor slots are seemingly full with longtimers.

KIRO also recently added a female reporter, Monique Ming Laven, who anchored in Columbus, Ohio and is very good. I'm wondering if KIRO will pair Rob with Monique on the weekends.

phony...phony...phony

Now that we've got the spelling right...

No sign of Rob in Seattle yet. I watched every station this weekend and didn't see anything.

Announced on TVSpy.com today (11/01/06):

ROB PIERCY moves home to Washington as KING-TV 's North Sound Bureau Chief & fill-in anchor from KSAZ-TV in Phoenix.

Cool! Thanks for the update. My cousin works for KING so I'll share anything that I hear about Rob!

Rob will do a great job there for a great organization.

For those of us from the Pacific Northwest, the 112 degree heat is extremely hard to take. On the other hand, it's great right now -- cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon.

By the way, Rob is now appearing on KING5 in Seattle. There is video of some of his reports on king5.com.

Rob is now the North Bureau chief at KING 5 in Seattle.

Reportedly, he is also subbing for the weekend pm anchor at KING. Some of his work is featured at king5.com.

Rob appears to be doing well in the Pacific Northwest. By the way, KING needs more male presence at the anchor desk. KING has only 3 male anchors and no subs. It appears that Rob is going to be the substitute male anchor.
