Rob 'T-Man' Tepper Returns To Radio....

So....

All because his son, when asked in his 1st grade class "what does your daddy do?" responded, "nothing."

Rob will be beginning an evening sports radio show this Monday for Fox that will be on in 243 cities and XM satellite.

Good Luck Rob!

Proof positive that you can't keep a good T-Man down!

First, any source on this?

Second, if it's true, good for him, as one of his former co-workers(Hot Shot Scott) already works at KJR in Seattle. Plus, the few times I heard him on KUBE pretty much proves that he'll be as entertaining(hopefully) as most of FSR's current line-up.

The Source? Rob Tepper.

...and I think he would know best.

A one year contract was signed yesterday.

Works for me. I was thinking about what time slot he might be in actually after I typed my last response to this.

The last post you had mentioned evenings, so my guess would be he either replaces Petros and Money from 4 PM-7 PM pacific time(wouldn't count on it), Fox Sports Tonight from 7 PM-10 PM(that's probably the best bet here) or JT The Brick from 10 PM pacific to 3 AM pacific(again wouldn't count on it).

Petros and Money and JT seem to be two of Fox's stallwort shows right now, so I wouldn't count on either of those being booted for the T-Man. Although knowing Fox, I might be wrong; Fox Sports Tonight though's only been on since October when Tony Bruno decided to move back east and concentrate on Philadelphia local radio, plus Mike North and Rob Dibble are two of the network's more flexible hosts, being that i've heard both of them doing other shows besides weekday ones on Fox.

So, if I was a betting man(although i'm not), I would say T-Man takes over the 7-10 PM Pacific Time slot, as the current show there after Bruno left seemed more like a stop gap until they got a regular permenant host.

If T-man is on 7-10pm then he would not air on KJR since that is Elise's slot... And I can't imagine them RIF-ing her.

It would be cool to hear him do sportsradio again.

The T-Man with Rob Dibble on KRKO 1380 in Everett starting 7pm Monday night. Given the strong north night signal this should help KRKO a bit I would guess.

Gas with Elise.

That's great to hear! I'm not even much of a sports fan but his style drew me in every night when he did his 9-midnight gig at KJR. I have an aircheck of him from March 1995 that I still listen to from time to time... I hope he keeps a similar approach.

I was listening to the first hour or so of Mike Gastineau's show earlier today. There's been upheaval at KJR-AM lately, with Mitch Levy's sidekick Steve Sandmeyer being let go some time before the Christmas break. Now Hot Shot Scott (Soden) has also been let go. Apparently this Tepper/Dibble show will have the T-Man based in Seattle and Dibble out of LA, and will be a national Fox Sports Radio show. Elise Woodward will be taking Hot Shot's chair next to Gastineau for the 3-7 show.

In other words, while KJR has been promoting themselves as "live and local" pretty much since ESPN 710 came into being, they are now surrendering the evening slot to a national show. Maybe this was just a matter of time, since obviously money's tight in the radio biz.

I've been listening to KJR-AM since the Sports Babe years, and I can't remember this much upheaval happening at the station in quite a while. At least not enough upheaval resulting in giving up the evening slot to national feed.

I'm not sure about the Hot Shot Scott being let go part. I heard him just yesterday.

N/M....Looks like I am wrong. Sorry. Sad to hear.

So far so good! He's had no trouble getting back on the horse. The only thing I've noticed is the other guy with him is sometimes not on the same page. Takes time. T man rocks the sports house! Welcome back Rob!!

That's the weird thing. Tepper was on Softy's show promoting the new night show, and the segment revealed a lot. When T-Man had the night show years ago for KJR (pre-KUBE), it only ran for five months. He said he was amazed at how many people, years later, still remembered some of the stuff they did on that show, despite the short tenure. Softy apparently produced for that show, busy working his way up the ranks at the station. Fox Sports Radio apparently wanted Tepper to move to LA, but he refused to take the gig unless he could stay in the Seattle area.

Great job with Gas cross promoting on KJR! Rob's not missing a beat from his time off. The only problem I'm hearing is with his partner trying to take the front seat to often. I think he's best with a side kick, not a co-host. Also think he's one of the best I've ever heard with callers. The more the better. Thoughts?

Not really a response here, other than to add that the producer of the Brock & Salk show at 710ESPN (Tom Wassell) has tweeted that Steve Sandmeyer will be co-hosting the 9-to-noon show with Brock Huard this Tuesday and Wednesday (17th and 18th). If it's the start of Sandmeyer landing on his feet, then this is great.

Also, Scott Soden (Hot Shot Scott) posted three podcasts within the last week at HotShotScott.com, the first of which includes "what happened at [his] previous gig."

Yup he's on from 7p-12mid on KJR AM you can hear him if Rob Dibble shuts up every once in a while, but yeah good to hear him again
