Robert De Niro now a SNL regular?

He's back tonight, this time as Roger Stone, another Trump confidant that is going down. De Niro also has appeared in several past SNL espisodes as Robert Mueller. De Niro scores again. What a talented actor/comedian. And as a comedian, I refer you to "King of Comedy", a cult classic from '82. A brilliant under-rated film.

Rupert Pupkin. Yes a great movie, with Jerry Lewis in one of his best roles.

They seem to have a recurring group of celebrities for the political skits. It helps, since most of the regulars have become wallpaper.

Except for Kate Mckinnon who continues to shine. For how long, don't know...

that was Steve Martin, not DeNiro.

Nose aside, Martin wasn't doing an impression of Stone. The voice sounded just like Steve Martin. A major giveaway was at the end, where "Stone" waved his arms and yelled, "I'm just a normal and straight forward guy!" I don't know if it was done purposely, but it echoed Martin's many appearances on SNL in the 70's and early 80's doing the Festrunk Brothers with Aykroyd, and the set line - "We're just two wild and craaazzzzy guys" (waves arms).
