Sillerman was one of the big radio consolidators before the 1996 TCA. After that, he was behind combining Clear Channel and his live concert business SFX Entertainment. He changed the concert business from a bunch of small local promoters to one single national Live Nation.

Yes the two were partners in the late 70s. They began by buying WALL and WKGL in Middletown NY. WALL was made famous by Howard Hoffman's parody tape "Nine." Another part of Sillerman's partners was former WMCA Good Guy Gary Stevens, who became a radio broker, and acted as the sales agent for most of Sillerman's deals.

Sillerman-Morrow was a short-lived experience. Sillerman went on to Legacy Broadcasting, and then he founded Capstar, which he merged into Clear Channel.

I thought they were together for awhile. I believe that Morrow did some broadcasts on those stations after he left WNBC.

He was also one of record producer James William Guercio's funding sources when he owned Country Music Television before it was sold to Gaylord in 1991.
