ROBERT FEDER IS RETIRING!!

I read today's Robert Feder column in The Sun-Times and was shocked to read that he will be retiring in the next few weeks.
Here is a link to the article www.suntimes.com/business/feder

Good luck to you Mr. Feder, you have been a must read for a radio geek like me for years, you will be greatly missed.
As I am typing this Don and Roma on WLS mentioned it, and said they will be speaking to him sometime this morning.

Who is going to take his place when he retires???
Or Who's gonna replace Robert Feeder???

He is NOT "retiring." His contract was bought out by the financially troubled publishing company. I read somewhere that he is not sure what is next for him and his career. He is not limiting himself to journalism as he moves forward.

Sounds a lot like what was being said when Gary Deeb left the S-T....and was ultimately replaced by Feder.

The difference is that Feder - unlike Deeb and Jay Mariotti - will actually be missed by both readers and co-workers. Whatever happened to Deeb anyway?

He will be missed, greatly. I doubt anyone will take the job-it will likely be eliminated as he's pushed out the door.As for Gary Deeb.I thought I read he had retired and was in upstate New York.Sure could be wrong on that.

Sad to see him go, but it's another example of the on going death march of print and broadcast media
