Robert Feder is very much missed. Unfortunately he was a victim of newspaper cutbacks.

What I *DO* miss are his insight and his connections in the industry.

What I *DON'T* miss are his political biases pro-anything liberal and anti-anything remotely close to conservative. I do believe that those biases affected his objective judgment on many occasions.

He and other "journalists" seem to have come to a belief that "journalists" were much smarter than their readers and "journalists' " personal biases superseded the job of reporting the news in an objective dispassionate manner. Perhaps this behavior is a symptom of the problems facing print "journalism" these days.

Flame-resistant suit on...

Snorlax.

As a political independent, ex-journalist, and winner of a Sigma Delta Chi national award for news coverage, I generally found Feder to be fair and objective in his reporting. As a columnist, he was also entitled to also dispense his own opinions....which he did freely, but never disguised as fact. I didn't always agree with him, but I usually felt that those who got skewered in his columns deserved every bit of what they got.

I WISH THAT ROBERT FEEDER HAS HIS VERY OWN WEBSITE, SO THAT HE CAN MAKE IS VERY OWN RADIO INFORMATION NEWS.
AND HE SHOULD START HIS OWN BUSINESS OR HIS OWN COMPANY SO THAT HE CAN GIVE US THE INFORMATION ON CHICAGO
RADIO STATIONS.....

There is a web domain name registered under a Robert Feder in the Chicago area for robertfeder.com, perhaps something is in the works....
