Roberta Gale First night Review

I have no comment on Mary Walter since I rarely listened to her show. With all the buzz about Roberta I decided to listen objectively to her first show. I know some have fond memories of her back in the day but NJ101.5 has changed since she's left.

I only know of Roberta when she flopped off the 7 Nassau stations that tried to syndicate her a few years ago.

Her style of radio is out that's why she only does a 2 hour weekend show in Arizona.

Her first hour topic was , she felt like she was having a heart attack did you ever have a medical problem ? Grade D
she spoke more about Arizona than Jersey

Second hour topic Do you lie about your age ? Who cares ? seems not many, Roberta got few calls . Grade D

Third hour she said Arizona time 7:47 instead of 9:47 NJ time and she let a guy plug his business and give out his web address directdelivery.com
The topic was do you like sexy lingerie ? Duh who doesn't She sounded tired this hour. Grade D

Fourth Hour Ask Roberta very long boring calls. Grade F

Overall impression after the welcome back calls drop off this week she's on her own and her voice is highly annoying.
Overall grade D
Now I know why she flopped on the NJ area Nassau stations and she's only doing a weekend show in Arizona, Roberta's brand of radio is over. Her replacement from an off the street contest will surly be a major improvement over Roberta and this is what NJ101.5 must have in mind. Put some space between Mary and a novice with a has been who's doing early 90's radio. Brilliant move.

From the times I heard Mary her voice is at least easier to listen to for more than 2 minutes. Roberta sounds like a frustrated bitter middle aged woman with a horrible voice. This is a brilliant move for NJ101.5 because any jerk they find off the street will have a better voice than Roberta.

Watch it!! You're going to be accused of being Mary secretely posting as someone else!! HAHAHAHAHA!!

Roberta certainly has a different voice but you, sir/ma'am, are in the minority. New Jersey loves Roberta. She was hugely famous in the 1990's and talk radio fans never forgot her. NJ 101.5 would "surly" see a ratings increase if they were able to lure her back full-time. They know this, which is why they asked her to do the fill-in shift during the contest. They had to do a lot of technical crap to get this thing going for just a month. They wouldn't do it if people hated Roberta and/or if they weren't 100% sure that she'd be well-received!

Shame she's temporary because she's the best thing about NJ 101.5 right now!

Don't like her? Don't listen!

If she was so good why did she flop on the 7 NJ area Nassau stations and is on for 2 hours on a weekend show in AZ if she was sooooooo good ? Roberta sucks and is very stale.

Could you have more of an agenda? LOL. The show didn't work because of Nassau, braniac. It had nothing to do with Roberta. Everyone knows that. You have no idea what you're talking about. You obviously just don't like Roberta. And you're still in the minority.

Again: Don't listen.

There are so many agendas on this board, especially with Cooker and OhYes... there is no moral high ground when we're all standing in the mud.
