Roberts Broadcasting Files for Bankruptcy

Agreed. I have always said here at WYAB that "we're running a business first and a radio station second," which has allowed us to do well here, even though I was an "outsider" to the market (and to the entire state, for that matter). That sometimes means we can't do everything on air that we would like to do, but we're also in no immediate danger of going bankrupt. Radio is a great and rewarding business if you treat it as such.

Gene Simmons of KISS has a similar philosophy. He claims to have never taken a loan for anything. If he doesn't have the cash for it (a home, a car, etc.) he doesn't buy it -- period!

Apparently the road to a terrible credit rating, yet able to proudly have a $ sign within his signature.
