Robertson County Pirate

I guess I'm going to have to get my Bible out and do some good ole fashion preaching!

"... If I knew the name of the church, I would call them myself and advise them, tell them what they need to do to be legal, and not to run more than what the FCC rules say...etc...etc...BLAH,BLAH,BLAH...etc...
...They may not understand the FCC rules on Part 15 FM. Most churches in America don't. God will bless you if you would take this kind of approach instead of attacking them....
No Attack, just facts!...by the way your contradictory statements puzzle me...first you call the preacher a friend....then you say you dont know the name of the church...interesting...

I was just stating FCC laws...who cares if they broadcast on Sunday mornings...OR Monday or Tuesday, etc.

Getting on here telling us about the FCC Rules of Part 15 broadcasting is preaching to the chior. If your so concerned, go out to the church and talk to them. If YOU are a true christian, go tell them, and have documemtation to back it up when you speak to them about it. "Jesus is the reason for the Season"!

I'm not being mean to you, my brother, but the church probably doesn't know. Go to ebay and see how many FM Transmitters that are being sold that are not Part 15 Transmitters! Why doesn't the FCC come down on ebay about it, since the use of it without a license is not legal.

the "Sprangfield Pirate" must be a very OLD SKOOL guy....i heard Cheech & Chong's Christmas ditty:

"Santa Claus & his Old Lady" (1971) played friday afternoon. ;D

Now that's not cool! I never liked Cheech & Chong. We need to get one of the ham operators in the area to make us a field strength meter and track this dude down. I'll call Atlanta and see if I can get somebody up here to take him off the air. Christmas is a religious holiday, not a holiday for perverts!

The sad thing is the FCC will not anything about this pirate if I, any of you on this list, complain. There has to be a station on 99.1 that must make the complaint. The FCC is understaffed and will not go out chasing pirates unless they get a call from a General Manager of a radio station on that frequency telling them that there is a pirate interfering with them.

This includes all the DX'ers on AM as well. The FCC doesn't have time, the money or man/woman power to even force the rules on AM. Our tax money is being spent somewhere else, in addition, the FCC has HDTV, Cell Phone, Satellite, and much more that has been put on their plate in the past 20 years. This is the reason why they rely on organizations like the NAB and state broadcast associations to take care of these situations.

it'll be interesting to hear what the "SPRANGFIELD PIRATE" will do after Christmas is over...

will he continue to broadcast???...OR shut his low wattage 99.1 FM Xmttr down.

any guesses?

i talked with a fellow Ham radio operator in SPRANGFIELD...he has no interest in finding the "PIRATE" on 99.1FM...& he said his field strength meters didnt work well anymore anyway!...hehehehehe ;D

the SPRANGFIELD pirate 99.1FM is still rockin' the Christmas tunes on this day after....(12/26 @ 12noon)

"Grandma got run over by a Reindeer".....weeeeeeeeeeeeeee
;D

the "SPRANGFIELD" pirate 99.1FM was rockin' w/ JANIS JOPLIN & LITTLE FEAT @ 3am this morning...

maybe he's gonna do this thang FULL TIME!???
