Robin Marshall, 68, NYC radio personality, producer, author and artist

I'm sad to report the news from Robin Marshall's daughter that Robin, who beat cancer several times, has passed away at 68. Robin was the daughter of legendary KDKA personality, Perry Marshall. Robin compiled the weird experiences of radio personalities in her book: Is This Thing On? https://www.amazon.com/This-Thing-Robin-Marshall-ebook/dp/B00K0M3B0Y. After her career in New York, she headed up Cumulus Sound Labs before retiring from the business and focusing on art.

I'm a little puzzled by no mentions of Robin's passing in any of the trade publications/sites. I know she's been retired for awhile but still had a legendary radio career, including New York.

She was a friend, a mother, a wife, a true talent, an artist, an author...She was a legend. A true mentor to me and an even better friend. This one hurts. There will never be another female broadcasting talent like Robin...In my opinion.

i didnt know Robin much at all except through what i saw on Facebook but she was clearly one helluva tough woman. The only woman tougher was my mom who fought cancer on and off for 25 years before it was too much. My mom passed in late 2017, and i wish i could've connected mom with robin, they would've been fast friends i think
