Robin Marshall

I agree re: class and professionalism. Seems she's gone from the website. Ken Conrad's not there either, but being a relatively new hire - possibly he's never been added.

Maybe K's on a youth movement as far as people on the air, since their music changes mentioned in another thread here. Robin's a mother of several daughters and a son of college age. Maybe the powers that be just didn't feel that her occasional "mom" talk fit the station's image.

Or maybe, Robin's salary was costing them more than they felt they needed to pay, or maybe...

Robin is a great radio talent. As for the station, they've not had real talent on for quite sometime now. It seems as though they are having interns run that station. Will it ever have true talent on there? Will they ever have LIVE jocks and not latenight card readers who think they are jocks?

You know, I think that it is absolutely hilarious that you actually think you know what you're talking about. The "interns" who are "running the station" are actually working in radio... and although I don't know you, and I'm absolutely fine with that, I'm not sure you can say the same. Sitting on your couch stalking facebook and radio message boards to throw in your pointless 2 cents on doesn't count as working in radio. You may have at one point and good for you, you should be proud. But while you may be attempting to break back into radio with an out dated resume, these "Interns" "who think they are jocks" but don't have "true talent" are actually gaining experience, good experience I might add, and are actually working every single day "LIVE" inside of a radio station collecting things such as, but not limited to, a paycheck, talent fee's etc.

Point is... your constant complaining about how the jocks on K have no talent and how they are worthless and blah blah blah... is no longer needed and no one really cares what you have to say. You're not currently on the payroll for that cluster and it's pretty obvious that someone who is on the payroll thought that the "Latenight card readers who think they are jocks"/"Interns" "with no talent", had enough potential and talent to bring them on and keep them on for quite some time now.

Don't mean to sound like too much of an ass but dang man sometime just keep your crap to yourself. Those untalented jocks you're referring to I'm sure read this and they are doing their best with what they're given.

You are absolutly correct, terribly programmed with fast turn over.
I have always had the highest respect for CBS Radio of any big broadcasting company - most of their stations are outstanding - but K-104.7 is just a wreck. I don't understand it. This weak attempt to try to compete with 107.9 is just sad. Same tired songs over and over. The air talent barely gets time to become established.

This station has always been a sad case. I wonder how long they will stay with this new {todays AC} format.

Any new radio stations on the horizon for charlotte?

Robin, a close friend of mine, was too good for this market. She was the best voice talent to ever come to K. Sadly, management there didn't utilize her potential or professionalism.

They'll be changing format soon. After all, it's that wonderful time of the year! All Christmas music is only days away, I'm sure. After that - who knows what they might become?

Corporate's got to watching what's going on there! Management has lost their long time morning duo on KISS, K-104.7 can't seem to stay or get on track or keep a staff, and what's with dropping the call letters on their legendary country station?

Like I said, CBS is faultless with classic hits - would be great for 104.7. Wouldn't put it past them.

K104 as it is....terrible. Too dull compared to 107.9 but too aggressive compared to 102.9.
