Robin Quivers: Well I know that there were like about 200 cowards on the other planes.
Here is a transcript of two portions of the 2/11/2009 Howard Stern Wrap Up Show, including Robin Quivers' 9/11 "cowards" portion of the discussion. People were talking over each other so it was a bit tough to nail down who said what at certain times.
The set-up -- Ralph (Howard's stylist) called in saying that it upset him that Robin had earlier said that Chesley Sullenberger was not a hero for what he did in making his emergency landing in the Hudson River.

Jason: I gotta say, I gotta say Ralph, Robin's won me over. I thought she was crazy at first, but think about it. Think about it. Compared to what Sully did, which was amazing and brave, compared to... (cut off)
Robin: I don't have any problem with somebody saying he did something... (cut off)
Jason: ...compared to what those people did, in the plane that they crashed in Pennsylvania on 9/11, but those people knew they were going to die. But they did what they did... (cut off)
Ralph: What did those people do?
Robin: They took themselves down in order not to hurt others.
Jason: To save other people. Now those are heroes.
Ralph: Oh, please.
Gary: Let me ask you a, if there was a... (cut off)
Robin: They were also attempting to save their lives, but they knew they were risking their lives when they did it.
Gary: But I agree with Ralph. We know some of what happened on that plane, but nobody knows exactly what happened.
Robin: Well I know that there were like about 200 cowards on the other planes.
Jason: Actually that's not true Gary, we do know the... (cut off)
Benjy: Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa!
Ralph: Hey Robin, wait wait wait wait wait.
Robin: Each of those other planes.
(Several people talk at once)
Benjy: Wait wait, are you talking about the people that, are you talking about the people that... (cut off)
Robin: Uh oh, I'd better get out of here. I won't be able to walk the streets of New York!
Benjy: Are you talking about the people that deserved to die? Is that the ones you're talking about?
Robin: What?
Benjy: The cowards that deserved to die.
Robin: I never said anybody deserved to die.
Benjy: Why were they cowards?
Robin: Because they sat there and followed the rules and died. Of course they didn't know... (cut off)
Jason: They didn't know they were going to crash into... (cut off)
Robin: They didn't know exactly and that's the only thing I'll give them.
Gary: They weren't Mormons so they couldn't take out their magic glasses and see the ****ing future.

**About a minute later, Robin said that she "probably was out of line" calling the 9/11 plane victims cowards.**
The conversation veered off for a moment to the US Airways pilot, but then a caller stoked the fire again.

Bill in Albany (caller): With that last conversation I have to agree with her (Robin), cause um I thought the guys that were on the plane that hit the Trade Center were definitely a bunch of *******.
Robin (laughing nervously): You know, I'm retracting that.
Caller: Me, myself, if I'm sitting there, I'm not going down without a fight.
Robin: Well, see, that's how I feel about it. Like I'm going to try to do something.
Benjy: Yeah, but at what moment do you know?
Gary: Yeah, don't you think we have a hell of a lot more knowledge now for all the years than they had in that 40 minutes?
Robin: Yeah, but you see guys going toward the cockpit and they're attacking stewardesses, I don't think there's going to be a good outcome.
Gary: Hold on, hold on, hold on... (cut off)
Robin: You lived through suicide bombers, you know what those people are about.
Benjy: And you've heard years and years of hijacking.
Gary: Right. It's always been hijacking -- nothing like that had never happened before.
Robin: On our soil. But we know from looking at the news that they are, you know, they recruit people who are willing to die in order to kill other people.
Gary: No one had ever done it in that fashion before. It was the first time. No one could foresee what was going to happen.
Robin: I understand, I understand. I'm simply saying I wouldn't have sat there until the very end as I see the plane headed toward the center of Manhattan.
Gary: We'll actually never know that, Robin.
