Robin Thicke Lawsuit

This is not specifically about Atlanta radio, but I was wondering if readers had an opinion on this.

Robin Thicke has sued Marvin Gaye's family to block any lawsuit of Thicke by the family, of which there has been talk. The issue is Gaye's family is saying Thicke's Blurred Lines was copied from Gaye's Got To Give It Up.

I'm not hearing it. What I'm hearing in Blurred Lines is a song for the 2000's inspired by Got To Give It Up but not copied. I thought to be guilty of being copied, a song had to have the same tune or same lyrics. Am I wrong?
