Rocco who?

I know of Rocco's terrible accident and am certainly happy he's on the mend. But, I must say, Greg Linnelli is doing a fine job. Perhaps management should realize the talent they have in him.

I am actually liking Linelli's show on Saturdays on 970. I don't know how he keeps getting Littlefield on that show so callers can turn around and bash Dave, but it is great radio theater.

Say what you will about his tenure as GM- but David Littlefield is great with the press and the fans.

It's probably the leading reason he's been able to keep his job through all this losing.

The thought occurs, though.

Here Rocco DeMaro suffers a serious head injury, and instead of a title praising the work of his replacement (which is the point of the thread), we get "Rocco Who?"

That's not funny. That's cold. And it does nothing to promote the fine work Greg's done.

I know in the first post Ray you wished Rocco well, and that's noted.

But that really was a poor choice of a title for this thread.

I am not really into sports all that much but I have heard Rocco's show on several occasions and have enjoyed his program. Rocco not only a fresh perspective and in many ways a fresh voice to the Pittsburgh airwaves and is very interesting, funny, and seems like a nice guy. On many occasions he has often strayed away from sports during his Saturday show and covered a little politics, life, etc. My prayers are with him and I hope he makes a quick recovery and gets back on the air.

He's terrible with the press. The people who cover the team loathe him and his BS answers.

Agreed. Bad taste, Raymond.
