Rochester Radio Reunion Update

Forgive me for the shameless plug...

The Rochester Radio Reunion (Sept. 17th) is shaping up to be a big night.

Hope all you folks who worked in Rochester radio over the years are planning on joining us. Should be fun seeing old friends and co-workers from the past!

How about some of you folks working in Rochester radio now, will you be there? Better order your tickets! It's only 44 days away!

Plenty have bought tickets already. Check out the list of attendees at www.rochesterradioreunion.com

Special thanks to "Call me Sherlock", better known as Larry White (great afternoon drive personaility on WBBF/WAXC) for all his hard work helping to put together next weekend's Rochester Radio Reunion. I'm sure there are other committee members and thanks to them as well. It's going to be a wonderful night and the turn-out looks great. The memories will flow. Just wish we could turn back the hands of time. I think for a couple of hours we will.

Thanks, Dave!  The other committee members are Dan Guilfoyle, John (Gubiotti) Elliott and Orest Hrynak. We are very fortunate to have the help of a great event planner in Rochester named Pat Grover who kept us all under control and on track.

This thing started with an idea back in early December last year and planning really got underway shortly after the first of the year.  Amazing the number of man (and woman) hours that go into putting something like this together.  Pat was instrumental in obtaining some serious discounts from some of the vendors which means we'll be able to pass more money along to our charity - the Rochester Press-Radio Club's children' charities.

The turnout is somewhere in the neighborhood of 160 folks as of today and more are sure to trickle in by Wednesday of next week.  It will be great to spend time with so many old friends and co-workers. I look forward to seeing you after about 40 some years.
