Rochester Radio Reunion

Ex Post Facto:: ("after the fact" for us radio people ;D)

WOW...what an event!! It was the event celebrating the creation of our lives! The legends WERE there (the assumed no shows made good on their reservations!! - I'm Serious!) Of course we missed those that have passed to the transmitter in the sky...but an excellent tribute was presented to them.

If ANYBODY wanted to experience the "Heyday" of Rochester Radio...it was the place to be!! I might have to change my board name...because Heydaybegone is NOT..in fact..GONE..because the people are still here! I personally had "dinner" with Ray Quinn & his lovely other half...and it was fascinating! Today's radio stuff mixed with the "heyday". "Had to Be there" ;D

Long live terrestrial radio,,,and may the comeback (or alternative) be right around the corner. ;D

(disclaimer: all opinions expressed here are those of the author..and not associated with any entity whatsoever. However, opinions are welcomed as usual on these boards ;)

So which half of Ray Quinn was doing the talking?? ;) :D :D Just kidding, Ray-dee-oh!! It was great seeing you again!

Congrats to HDBG/Sherlock, John Gubiotti, Orest, Pat and everyone else behind this terrific event. It was a monumental undertaking and VERY well done.

My appetite's whetted for the Binghamton event this weekend! Come on down and join us for still another dose of radio geekdom!!

Nice to see true fans of radio here, not just users. Maybe someday things will turn around and come back to something everyone can get excited about again!

So which half of Ray Quinn was doing the talking??
Ironically...BOTH!! She is well versed in radio...Ray, on the other hand has lots to learn. :D
Incidently RCS...though we have never met (and we didn't meet on Sat- go figure) I pointed you out to several that didn't recognize his Highness after all those years!! I won't blow them in, but you would think..... It was GREAT that you attended, as your presence in Rochester radio remains Legendary....

That's probably not all..

HDBG

The proceedings were only marred by that unfortunate moment when Joe Centanni (WYSL, WLGZ, WIRQ) tried to take his pants off over his head. (Again.) And Maggie Brooks really shouldn't have been applauding, given her position.

Yep! Typical "radio evening!" ;) :D

Thanks, HDBG for the post.  Mr. Savage as well.  The reviews from all the attendees that I've heard from were terrific.  It seems as though everyone had a great time.

Our thanks to the 160+ people in attendance from as many as 10 states who truly made the event the success that it was.

An aside to Bob Savage - separating the names HDGB and Sherlock in your post above with a mere slash, instead of a comma, seems to suggest that we might be the same person.  Not the case. We are, in fact, two different people.

Thanks!  That's all!
