"Rock" 100.5 actually played a Rush song while the sun was out

Coulda knocked me over with a feather. I guess this means the station is officially floundering. When they first launched, they played classic rock with some deep cuts. This lasted about two weeks, then they transformed into The River with a harder edge. That lasted until the advent of "Quality" Rock, which some shady consultant must've sold to them as "Dave FM...with Aerosmith!" Now 100.5 can't even crack the Top 20 and The Regular Guys are on life support, so they seem to be spinning the Wheel O' Desperation yet again.

Good luck luring back the listeners you drove off with Barenaked Ladies and Ray LaMontagne.

I agree....and another irritant, playing Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks on a "Rock" station....I'm sorry, but I consider that band easy listening these days. I change the station the second I hear 'Go Your Own Way' for the millionth time...
The RG are almost impossible to listen to these days. They were somewhat fresh and funny last year, but now, it's all Obama, all the time...

Was it "Distant Early Warning" or the downtempo "Closer To The Heart"?

They played "Free Will" during Wednesday's PM drive.

Glad to hear, but you're self'd for listening to that crap playlist. I suggest an ipod or a satellite tuner.

Sad that they would only play the safe Rush hits, but I guess the more contemporary singles might be a bit aggressive for them.

::::insert "Time Stands Still" pun for good measure::::

I dare them to play "The Trees" or "Temples of Syrinx" (both of which are getting a lot of airplay on satellite), or even "Manhattan Project". Or "Working Man" (all 8 or so minutes) right smack in the middle of PM drive.
