Rock 100.5 and Project 9-6-1

I've noticed that Rock 100.5 has been creeping up in the 12+ ratings and Project 9-6-1 has been creeping downwards (almost to WGST levels!), with River holding steady but not at the levels it first had when it was (truly) new. Any insights or predictions here?

Also, did [email protected] show up in any Arbitron breakdown?

99X's numbers have slipped off significantly after peaking late summer and early fall of last year, back to where they were the first month in May 2009. If you want the specific numbers, I can't post'em here but email me at [email protected].

This will continue.

Rock 100.5= TRG, Braves, classic rock.
Project 9-6-1=Shafee and active rock.

Project 9-6-1 should flip to alternative similar to CC sister stations KYSR in LA and WRFF in Philly.
It will also take a bite of what is left at 99X

Yeah, when I'm looking for classic rock there's nothing better than stumbling upon a 3-hour boring-as-hell baseball game bookended by a couple of mind-numbing pre-game and post-game shows.

At least 100.5 gave up on the disastrous "quality" rock and is playing Rush again. Too bad that TPTB now think that what classic rock fans really want to do is time-travel back to the 1940s, warm up the old Philco, and listen to a baseball game. How do these people keep their jobs?

did they now? that might be worth a listen.

but are they playing the same 4-5 Rush songs per usual or have they expanded?

I'd almost prefer them to go full on with the Classic Rock format and remove anything that's been played post-1990...or just go with the "pure rock" moniker. I guess what I'm saying is remove anything from the play list that might have been considered part of the alternative rock genre.

It sounds like this is a gradual progression to fully grab that 96Rock audience by further narrowing the play list...to me that sounds like a winning idea but I'm one to think that making your audience too broad would actually help you LOOSE listeners. I'm just a listener, though..not in the industry.
